Crayola
Crayola is an art product company founded in 1885 as Binney & Smith, but did not create crayons until around 1902. Crayola started when Binney and Smith took over Binney's father's pigment company, and later, they started developing pigments to compete at World's Fairs. They then started to create what they called dustless chalk, which is now the standard oil crayon. They company headquarters has always been located in Easton, PA, and the name Crayola comes from "craie", which means chalk, and "ola", which means oily.
