Crayola

Crayola is an art product company founded in 1885 as Binney & Smith, but did not create crayons until around 1902. Crayola started when Binney and Smith took over Binney's father's pigment company, and later, they started developing pigments to compete at World's Fairs. They then started to create what they called dustless chalk, which is now the standard oil crayon. They company headquarters has always been located in Easton, PA, and the name Crayola comes from "craie", which means chalk, and "ola", which means oily.

Miracle Whip

Miracle Whip is a mayonnaise substitute sold by Kraft. They released the product in the 30's as a cheaper alternative to mayo, because sales were slipping due to the depression. There are a few rumors on how Miracle Whip got created, but the official statement by Kraft is that they developed it in their factory using a newly patented mixer. There are a few Miracle Whip products, including Miracle Whip, Miracle Whip Light, and Miracle Whip Zero, which all have less fat and more spices than mayo.

Illinois

Illinois is a US state located in the Midwestern United States. Demographically, it is the most diverse, and also the most average, state in the union. Illinois is the 5th most populous state, and the 25th in terms of size. Illinois' largest city is Chicago, located on the Chicago River and Lake Michigan, and the capital is Springfield. 3 president's were serving in Illinois while elected (Lincoln, Grant, and Obama) but only one was born there (Reagan) and one was buried there (Lincoln). Illinois was the 21st state admitted to the union, in 1818, after being a territory for 9 years, and before that, part of French Louisiana and the Northwest territory.

Google

Google is a commonly used search engine. It was created as a privately owned company in 1998, and gave initial stock holdings in 2004. As of 2006, the company's headquarters is located in Mountain View, California. Google is the worlds biggest search engine, and processes around a billion searches a day. Google was created by Sergey Page and Larry Brin, who both now have salarys of $1, but have net worths of $17.5. In 2004, they were chosen as ABC's People of the Year. They also started a philanthropic organization, titled google.org, to raise awareness about environmental and other causes.

Metropolis Popcorn

Metropolis Popcorn is a popcorn shop on the riverfront in Cuyohoga Falls. They have 58 different flavors of popcorn and are almost all unnatural flavors. They have 3 different categories, seasoned, candied, and deluxe. Seasoned all have a flavored powder on them, and include flavors such as nacho cheese and bacon and cheese. The candied flavors have a candy coating and have flavors like cherry, grape, and other fruits. The deluxe are mixes and have a flavor that is nothing like popcorn, they have mixes like puppy chow, fluffer nutter and cinnamon bun.

Crush Soda

Crush is a soda company that makes many different flavors of it's drink, the most famous being Orange Crush. They offer or have offered many flavors, including Orange, Pineapple, Strawberry, Grape, Peach, Apple, Berry Blast, and their newest flavor, Cherry. Orange Crush was invented in 1906, but has been produced and patented since 1916. Named for the process of extracting flavor from oranges, Crush is now a part of the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group Inc. Some flavors are released in just certain areas of the world, like birch beer was only released in Canada, and Cola only in Kuwait in the 60's and 70's.

Dave Matthews Band

The Dave Matthews Band was formed in 1991 in Charlottesville, Virginia. Originally based off of Dave's song ideas, rather than recording himself and an acoustic guitar, he gathered some band members to join him. He got drummer Carter Beauford, saxophone player LeRoi Moore, 16 year old bassist Stephan Lessard, pianist Peter Griesar and violist Boyd Tinsley. After playing many celebrated local preformances, they started to record records, and was very popular, getting many platinum albums. After the death of LeRoi in 2008, the band stopped playing for some time, and started recording Big Whiskey and The Groogrux King, released in 2009, and are on tour now.
