Coca-Cola
Coca-Cola was first created in Atlanta, Georgia on May 8, 1886. John Stith Pemberton created it as a medicine, and when combined with carbonated water, it made a very refreshing, delicious drink. Pemberton didn't realize the potential of his drink, and sold away most shares of his companies, which started off very small, selling an average of 9 drinks a day. Now the Coca-Cola Company, based in Atlanta, sells jugs of syrup to licensed Coke bottlers around the world, which add the water and distribute the drink.
